As an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Bush gained internationally-recognized expertise in the neuropathophysiology and psychopharmacological treatment of ADHD, depression and other mood and anxiety disorders; as well as in the brain processes underlying attention, cognition, emotion and anxiety. Following his graduation from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 1990 and his Psychiatric Chief Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in 1994, Dr. Bush completed two clinical research fellowships. The first was a Harvard/MGH clinical research training program in biological and social psychiatry. In recognition of his second two-year Harvard-MIT clinical investigator fellowship, he was granted an additional Master’s Degree in Medical Science from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Bush has nearly three decades of clinical experience treating patients of all ages in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, consult-liaison, crisis units and both psychiatric and medical emergency rooms. Dr. Bush served on the Editorial Board of the journal, Biology of Mood & Anxiety Disorders and is a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. As the Director of Neuroimaging at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at MGH, he gained an appreciation for complementary forms of treatment such as meditation and relaxation response training. With 50+ publications in medical-scientific journals and books.

Dr. Bush is the Chief Medical Officer of MagnetiCareTMS of Long Island, which provides state-of-the-art NeuroStar transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy for patients with depression in a comfortable, spa-like setting.
